No, this isn't a rant against the US being robbed in the game against Slovenia, or a gloat at the Brits for not being able to beat us.

At the moment, Group F is tied, the two games ended in 1-1 ties, so each team now has 1 point and a goal differential of 0.

What would happen if the next two sets of games ended the same way? That is each game ended in a 1-1 tie? That would mean each team would end the group play with 3 points and no differential.

Does anybody out there know the rules of the game well enough to tell me?

I know nothing about Soccer/Football/whatever the hell it's called wherever the hell people are, but I have to admit I saw a lot of trash talking and comments about stupid Americans knowing nothing about this sport and no way we'd come close to them... so I laughed... hard.

Just thought I'd point out its England in the tournament, not the Brits. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all have their own national football team. In fact England is the only country in the tournament which is not its own state.

The teams will be decided on goal difference if tied on points. At the moment the US is ahead with two more goals scored. It does not look good for England. Though truthfully its what we deserve after the Algeria game.

And I'd like to welcome the US to the unofficial sport of moaning about referee's decisions in matches. Fortunately we are the world champions in this sport with a win in almost every world cup.
